Mayo North East Community Journal was officially launched on Thursday, February 14, in the very impressive Ballina Men’s Shed on Teeling Street. The launch was held in conjunction with the February meeting of the Ballina Community Network group
Speaking at the launch Martin Corcoran, TÚS Supervisor with Mayo North East, said the aim of the Community Journal was to promote action and participation and to foster the sharing of ideas, experience and information in the Mayo North East catchment area for a better community.
The newsletter aims to create and build relationships within the community.
The Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) 2018-2022 is funded by the Irish Government and co-funded by the European Social Fund and includes a special allocation under the Youth Employment Initiative.
