Sprung from one of Ireland’s best known and longest established summer festivals, Ballina Salmon Festival, Ballina Fringe Festival is another fish entirely – an artistic exploration of life lived on the edge of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way served up in a festival of words, art and music.
Following a highly successful first year, the festival returns this year, running 4-20 October 2019 in association with the Ice House Hotel & Spa.
Join us this October as we dip and weave our way though exceptional art, musical entertainment, historical discoveries, tales well told and lyrical words that dance through poetry.
Musical highlights include the theatrical wonder that is Camille O’Sullivan and Sligo’s No Crows live at St Michael’s Church. There’s more drama in store from Pat Kinehane, who brings his show BEFORE, fresh from the Edinburgh Festival. The full festival programme is available here and tickets are on sale now!
Pure Ballina brings a splash of colour to the streets of Ballina – all in collaboration with Ballina’s Men’s Shed, Involve Ballina, North Mayo Youth Project, Jackie Clarke Collection and funded by Creative Ireland, Mayo County Council and the National Youth Council of Ireland.
Ballina Fringe Festival is developed in partnership with Ballina Arts Centre and Mayo North.
