Ballina TÚS Programme contributing to the success of Other Voices

Elizabeth Fair TÚS Supervisor said she was “delighted to be able to assist in the preparations for Other Voices. Programmes such as TÚS contribute to the social and economic wellbeing of the Mayo North East Area. Involvement in such an event as Other Voices has many advantages for TÚS participants themselves”.

“The TÚS Scheme has contributed to the recovery in the economy with many people returning to full time employment after a TÚS placement”

Tús provides opportunities for people who are unemployed to break the cycle of joblessness and helps to improve a person’s work readiness and support them in returning to the labour market. In addition, it is hoped that participation on Tús will boost a person’s motivation and confidence, offer them opportunities to experience different work environments and provide them with employment related experience to re-enter the labour market
